i am sitting in a cab on my way to the airport…the driver has a bible in the car and as we start talking he tells me all about it…the part he likes most is where it goes…love yourself like your neighbor would love you if he was you

i go to the aquarium and start talking to a guide…he tells me about his norwegian grandfather and how he would smoke and store fish in salt…nowadays the japanese would eat the same fish raw…something he would never be able to understand

i bring my trousers with some heavy stains to the dry cleaner…when i pick them up a couple of days later i learn that they could not get rid of the stains…but all the buttons on the trousers dissolved through the cleaning process
at night i get a phone call from facility management telling me that water was dripping from the ceiling in the apartment below…maybe my sink was leaking and they would need to come up…as i get dressed i get another phone call saying they looked at the wrong apartment

i am in an elevator and as the doors are about to close someone tries to get in…i push the button to keep the doors open…the guy says…thank you…i say sure…and he says no problem
after 9/11 massive real estate speculation started in lower manhattan - most of the money gained from that went directly into the art market
